Here’s What’s Sprouting this week!
From Stephannie Tallent:
- Under the Sun, a companion shawl to Beneath the Moon, was released a few weeks ago. It’s worked as a wedge from the bottom up, and incorporates a modifcation of one of my favorite vintage lace patterns, Print of the Wave. The half wave edging is worked as a knitted on edging to bind off the top of the shawl. It’s worked in Mrs. Crosby Reticule lace weight yarn, and takes two skeins.
- I’m also running a test knit for a cowl in my Ravelry group. This pattern uses vintage stitch patterns (Bee Stitch and Honeybee Lace Stitch from Barbara Walker) to create a lightweight, lacy cowl. I’m looking for testers to knit it with or without the lace edgings. It takes less than 1 skein of Stitch Sprouts Yellowstone.
From Bonnie Sennott:
- Bonnie just published a summery lace shawl named after blue damselflies, which the lace in the shawl resembles. Enallagma is on sale through August 1st on Ravelry with the coupon code DAMSELFLY.
From Barbara Benson:
- Barbara Benson is on a bit of a Book Tour in Florida. On Saturday, July 28th she will be at A Good Yarn in Sarasota and then on Thursday, August 3rd she will be at Stash St. Petersburg. While she was traveling, two unboxing videos have gone up on Watch Barbara Knit – you can check them out here and here.
