Here’s What’s Sprouting this week!
From Barbara Benson:
  • In collaboration with Sweet Georgia Yarns, Barbara Benson released a new shawl pattern. Featuring two of Sweet Georgia’s Party of Five gradients the shawl uses mosaic (slip stitch) colorwork to create a fun interplay of the two different colors. The shape is a long, asymmetrically acute triangle that begins with a small cast on and ends with an even smaller bind off. The unusual shaping creates a piece that is partially worked on the bias for amazing drape. Check out Ailey on Ravelry!
  • And on her YouTube channel Barbara uploaded a video where she selected her Favorite 5 Beaded Knitting Patterns. If you have been thinking about knitting with beads but stumped for project ideas this might just get you going!

From Heather Zoppetti:

  • Heather has a new pattern out, Mitra. Mitra is a tunic has a plethora of fun techniques to keep you interested from cast-on to bind-off. A unique construction starts at the neckline and features mitered corners and an applied lace edge along both the front and back. A picot bind-off finishes the sides and an i-cord belt cinches the waist. Leave the sides open or whip stitch them closed.
  • For the month of April, patrons of $5 or more get Mitra for free, are you a patron yet?
